Hair loss in the mid scalp and crown area is frequently present among male patients. The photo was taken just before the start of the procedure.
Thinning and some spots of complete baldness can be seen in the picture. The planned hair restoration area was marked with blue pencil before the start of the F.U. E. procedure where beard hair will be taken and implantation in this blue marked area.
Shaving & trimming of existing hair was performed just before the hair transplant procedure. The crossed area will not get grafts placement as already some coverage was present with existing hair.

Beard area grafts availability is different in every individual, an average 1200-1800 grafts can be extracted. Where density or thickness is good, we can extract 2000 to 2200 roots and transplant to the head area where baldness is visible. Graft placement was performed under the supervision of Dr. Ahmad Chaudhry at his clinic in Lahore Pakistan on 02 Aug 2021. This patient did not have enough donor area in the back or sides of head as his scalp donor area was used in hos previous two or three procedure. Baldness was progressive in nature and ultimately his mid scalp and vertex of head become visible or bald. During initial consultation it was decided to take roots from non-scalp area so beard donor area is the best after the scalp donor area as hairs structure and texture is of good quality. Though 2500-3000 grafts were needed but due to less availability 1524 roots were scattered for a coverage of baldness. The results will be visible after six to nine months and sometimes 18 months.
